The Author
Georgie Cooney is an author and a fully qualified teacher who is passionate about creating a positive learning experience for all children. As a teacher and a dyslexia specialist, she has taught in a variety of schools both at home and abroad. Georgie has also spent many years training teachers to teach and understand learners with Specific Learning Difficulties.
Since moving to Ireland, she has been coordinating the Cork Workshop for the Dyslexia Association of Ireland or Dyslexia Ireland. Georgie is also a co-host on the podcast The Long Way Back with Timmy Long and learns so much from their guests. Furthermore, she is a tutor for ICEP (Institute of Child Education and Psychology) and is impassioned by teacher training. In addition to this, her main job (that she loves) is working with a range of learners with learning differences at her home in Cork.
Currently residing in the beautiful surroundings of County Cork with her family, she spends her time teaching, writing and walking the local hills with her dogs.
Look out for the Care Farm that Georgie and her husband are planning to start, hopefully in the very near future.
